From Sand Dunes to Stars, Let’s Now Fly to Mars
This interactive aviation show introduces the youngest students to aviation
and takes them on a journey of flight with tales of early hang glider
flights, hot air balloons, bi-planes, jets, rockets to the moon and
space shuttles through the stars and beyond. Our mission with this show,
a winner of a Wolf Aviation Award, is to expose the young, open minds
to the many ways man has taken to the skies and excite them with the
21st century wonders they may one day pilot through the stars. In addition
to touring performances, this show is in residence at the Glenn L. Martin
Maryland Aviation Museum in Middle River, MD and can be scheduled as
a field trip that could include Museum tours and education activities.

The Gizmo Invention Show
CELEBRATING ITS 11th ANNIVERSARY OF INSPIRING YOUNG AUDIENCES
“I learned that inventions come from people who keep on trying!”
from Rebecca of Hagerstown, Maryland
This 50 minute interactive musical features inventors whose inventive
spirit changed the way people live on a daily basis over the centuries.
“Name That Artifact”, a game show segment, challenges critical thinking
skills. Entertaining audiences for eleven years, Gizmo inspires imagination
and creativity as it encourages students to design and create their
own inventions. “Our students and faculty thoroughly enjoyed this presentation.
The interaction with the students was positive, enthusiastic and very
upbeat.” writes a teacher from Chambersburg, PA
Right Place Right Time Wright Brothers
“I never knew history could be so much fun!” exclaims a third
grade student in Fort Worth, Texas
This interactive presentation celebrates the industrious spirit of the
Wright brothers as they worked to achieve their dream to fly. Our musical
history lesson of vision, productivity and achievement follows the Wright
brothers as they publish newspapers, repair and build bicycles, and
work together to solve the mystery of flight.
This story shares how Wilbur and Orville addressed and resolved all
the knotty problems that accompanied their endeavor. Some problems are
practical as discussed in the song “How is a Bumblebee Able to Fly”.
There are problems that are philosophical, as shared in the song “Hello
There, Mr. Chanute”. Some problems are romantic in the broadest sense
as in the musical number “To Fly Like a Bird”. Then there are problems
that are enthusiastically solved and demonstrated as in the song “Yaw,
Pitch and Roll”. There are problems not easily solved, such as dealing
with location issues in “Mosquitoes and Rain”.

The audience is taken on a journey of conflicts, trials and troubles,
a journey that culminates in the brothers’ triumph and the place that
success has earned them in history. As the show moves to its finish,
Wilbur and Orville, and their sister Katherine bring us forward in time
through the accomplishments of man in flight with the song “One Small
Step” and anchors all of these achievements solidly to the vision and
courage of Wilbur and Orville Wright, who were absolutely at the right
place at the right time.
